Ignorant to the maximum. The same can be done for just about any other vendor or software/hardware company in the smartphone space.

@Mook Exactly so why it's not like that for other ? Take the time to wonder... because only apple has the guts to sue others for something they never invented... Maybe patented yes but never invented. They just took advantage of a failing system that give power only to those who spend their money in legal court. Apple would make even better products if they didn't spend so much time and money in trials.
Now I'm not sure anymore if I have to make legal studies or engineering studies to be employed by apple.
But after all if you want you still can convince you that apple only is good and all those samsung, htc, sony, etc... are evil. You still can try at least.

Just because a company patents it does not make them the inventor. This whole concept of approving patenst itself is downright immoral in many cases. Forst the process is expensive, so only the big companies can apply for it, then the time taken is very long, so the turnaround suits big companies again, and last of all the premesis that they cannot be challenged once granted is even more ludicrous. Because if that is the case, why arent the companies stated above suing apple? If a company can simply tweak the concept and implement it, then apple should not have had any grounds for suing, let alone winning it. Too many questions on either sides! To me every big company, be it Samsung, be it Apple all sing from the same hymn sheet in similar circumstances!
